When is the best time to visit Mexico?

Mexico is brimming with the fiery fiesta almost all throughout the year. But between December and April is the perfect time to visit Mexico. You can skip the sweltering heat and the torrential rain. Who doesn’t love bright blue clear skies after all?

How many days do I need for Mexico?

Ideally, between 7-15 days is perfect to explore the ins and outs of Mexico. (That’s exactly how long our Mexico trips are). But really, are any number of days enough? The lingering taste of tacos and tranquil beaches will always leave you hungry for more.

Do I need a visa to travel to Mexico?

This will depend on your citizenship. If you’re a US, UK, Australian, or New Zealand citizen, you’re generally allowed to travel to Mexico without a visa. Don’t forget to check your visa requirements before flying!

What should I pack for a trip to Mexico?

No matter when you’re travelling to Mexico, it’s usually sizzling and sunny. So don’t forget to pack these essentials for your Mexico trip.

  • Sunscreen
  • A day bag
  • Walking shoes
  • Bathing suit
  • Quick-dry towel
  • Loose clothing
  • Beach sandals

Do I need cash or can I use my credit card?

It’s best to get both! Your credit card should work perfectly well in all the big cities and tourist hotspots, cash might come in handy when visiting the slightly more rural areas.

What is the currency used in Mexico?

The local currency (that can get you a taste of those feisty tacos) is the Peso ($).

What is the tipping etiquette in Mexico?

It’s not mandatory, but tipping is generally accepted here. So, if you really liked the food (which you will, you’re in Mexico after all) or the service, you can tip 15% of your bill.

What is ATM access like in Mexico?

ATMs tend to be easily accessible in Mexico. Credit cards aren’t always accepted in stores and restaurants, so remember to get some cash with you!

Is tap water safe to drink in Mexico?

We recommend you don't drink tap water (even in hotels) because of the high mineral density. Don’t worry, though. We ain’t leaving you thirsty. Your Trip Manager will advise you on where to fill your water bottle with safe drinking water.
