June brings the dry season in Namibia. You know what that means – it's the best time to spot wildlife as they move around in search of water! And while the Etosha pan lake can be seen from space, you can even see it up close in search of elephants, lions, giraffes and rhinos on a majestic game drive.
On our Nomadic Namibia trip, you can visit the Mondesa Township and meet the San Bushmen peoples in their village to see what life is like for a local in this Savannah, and they’ll even treat you to their traditional food!
The highlight of your June vacation in Namibia is gonna be seeing the jaw-dropping Sossusvlei dunes (Yep, like the ones in Dune, the film). Located in the Namib-Naukluft Park, these epic slopes are bright red in colour, and perfectly contrast the blue skies on a June morning.
Best weather for sailing (sunny days without the intense heat)
The weather is sunny warm days. Average temperature: 23°C (73°F) to 28°C (82°F).

What’s the best way to spend a June vacation in Croatia? Island hopping, of course! There’s nothing better than soaking in the jaw-dropping views from a private sailboat, floating from one epic spot to another (with your epic new crew). It’s a peak summer experience…
Dubrovnik has to be one of the best European cities to visit in June. With the warm weather and long days, it’s the best time to explore the city on foot. And if you’re interested in the history of this city, you can track the epic sandstone houses with a local guide who’ll tell you all about the women who helped to build it.
Meet more Georgian locals before they start to leave for the summer.
The weather is sunny and pleasent. Average temperature: 24 °C (75 °F) to 27 °C (80 °F)
If you’re looking for things to do in Georgia on a long sunny day, you need to add visiting Uplistsikhe at the top of your list (find it on our Best of Georgia trip!) Not only is it Georgia’s oldest cave city, it’s also entirely rock hewn. Talk about an ancient wonder...
There’s so much you can explore on a June vacation in Georgia – including all those vibrant markets. The farmers’ markets here are home to the best local eats. The streets are flooding with kaleidoscopes of colour in the summer. And of course, the scent of freshly made Khachapuri is in the air.
One of the things that put Georgia among the best places to visit in June is those magical summer hiking trails. And one such trail takes you to the base of Mt Chaukebi amidst the stunning Caucasus mountains. Yup, you’ll wanna pack your camera.
Balmy weather for sailing around the Mediterranean.
The weather is hot and balmy. Average temperature: 25°C (77°F) to 33°C (91°F)
On our Turkish Sailing trip, you have the chance to see ruins of an ancient city known as Myra. You’ll find 4th-century rock tombs, a surprisingly well-preserved amphitheatre and homes built into stoneface. History and archaeology nerds, this one’s for you.
Istanbul is already one of the best vacation spots to visit in June. And there’s no better way to explore it than on foot, checking out each and every vibrant corner. The spice market, the epic blue mosque, Hippodrome, and even the Grand Bazaar are just some of the must-sees here.
The ANZAC cove is the infamous site on the Gallipoli Peninsula where nearly 16,000 Australian and New Zealander troops landed during WW1. You can now pay a sombre visit to the site, and also pay your respect to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives here.
